Welcome to Canaglobe TESL Centre.
At Canaglobe, we strive to provide the highest quality of TESL training. Our
program is dedicated to preparing students for teaching in the classroom
setting. Here, students are offered guidance on how to develop their teaching
skills by focusing on the individual strengths of each person.
Also, our friendly and highly trained staff is always available to assist
students. If students prefer to be counselled in their native language, our
staff is more than pleased to do so.
As a team, the academic instructors, counselling staff and I, are committed to
making the school a comfortable and inviting place to study. Canaglobe is the
perfect training centre if you want to learn in a friendly environment where
teachers care about the interests of their students.
We are sure that if you select Canaglobe, you will thoroughly enjoy the
experience. Why not give us a try? You won't regret it.

Hi! I'm Rebecca Saloustros and I'm the academic director and TESL instructor at Canaglobe.
I was born in B.C. and have graduated from both SFU and UBC. I have a Bachelor of Arts (major: English; minor: political science) and a Bachelor of Education (secondary teacher education). I also have a Journalism Certificate from Langara College.
Since my senior year in high school, I have worked with ESL students from various cultural backgrounds. I first became interested in teaching as a career after I became a teaching assistant at an SFU program for Japanese women. I had so much fun taking them on tours of Vancouver and learning about Japanese culture!
When I joined Canaglobe in 2004, I was teaching Korean students online. My web camera allowed me to see homes and offices all across the country. I have also worked with Korean and Taiwanese students in local learning centers.
In my spare time, I am learning to speak Greek. It is very challenging, but extremely rewarding! I also enjoy traveling, watching foreign films, and running with my dog. |

Hi! I'm Juliana Bedoya, the marketing manager and Latin counsellor at Canaglobe TESL Centre.
As part of the Canaglobe staff, I promote our school to Spanish-speaking countries. I also have the chance to counsel students and talk to them in English or in their own language. Students can come to our office any time to ask for help or any other resources they need.
At our school, we have a fresh and active multicultural environment where teachers, staff and students help each other to reach their goals.
I have seen how students from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds grow personally and professionally while they learn how to teach English. It's very exciting to see how their dream to teach English and travel comes true.

Hi, my name is Asami Aranoo. I'm a marketer and the Japanese counsellor at Canaglobe TESL Centre.
I received my TESL and TEC diplomas when I was a student in 2004. I really had a wonderful time in these classes and learnt a lot. As a former international student, I know it can be challenging to complete assignments in English and to attend classes in a new country. But, believe me, it is worth it!
You will be able to teach English in your own country and you will build confidence and improve your own English, too.
If you are interested in being an English teacher, studying with local students, improving your own English or just having fun in Canada, please feel free to contact me. I'd love to help you, as much as I can!
Canaglobe offers you so many great opportunities. |
